Why We Procrastinate

Procrastination is something almost everyone struggles with, yet it’s often misunderstood. It's not simply about laziness or poor time management. In many cases, we procrastinate because of fear fear of failure, fear of judgment, or even fear of success. Sometimes the task ahead feels too overwhelming, so our brain seeks comfort in distraction or delay. Understanding why we procrastinate is the first step toward breaking the cycle. Being aware of our emotions and triggers can help us respond more mindfully. Breaking tasks into smaller, manageable parts and setting realistic deadlines can reduce anxiety and build momentum. Instead of aiming for perfection, progress should be the goal.
